Mission: Achieving the Perfect Finish
Why a Perfect Finish Matters: A perfect finish is a reflection of the skill and labor that went into the finished item. We don’t leave raw wood or unfinished metal for the simple reason that it doesn’t look good or last well. The function of a finish is to protect, preserve and enhance the look and feel of the project.
Don’t Neglect the Most Important Part of the Job: Fact is, by the time you’ve finished making the project, the finish may seem like a lot more work, and maybe a little intimidating. Everyone starts out feeling that way, but when they see how much difference the finish makes to the end result––and how easy it is to achieve it ––they get really excited about it. “But” you say, “what about the cost?” You didn’t hesitate to invest in the tools you needed for building – the table saw, the planer, the router or whatever. You needed serious tools to do the job right. The same applies to finishing. The final appearance is worth every penny of the investment you make in the right tools for the job.
